NEW LAMBDA SCHOLARSHIP! HUGE NEWS! For STEM studies at the University of Alberta

Lambda Scholarship Foundation Canada is getting ready to present a $2500 annual tuition award to an openly LGBT person eligible to enter their first year of undergraduate studies in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) at the University of Alberta for four years of study, starting September 2019.

The two generous donors of this award, who wish to remain anonymous, have specified these areas of study and the university and specifically want to offer the award to an out LGBT person, however they-self identify, who has contributed to the LGBTQ+ community.

We will be putting out a call for applications soon. But we need to make contact with LGBTQ+ activists, sympathetic teachers, queer media, and young/mature students who meet the University of Alberta residency requirements – including people living in the North – and would be interested, including those in adult high school. Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada will be eligible to apply.

Please share and spread the word to your friends and allies, especially those in or who have contacts in Alberta.

Any queries can be sent to us at lambdafoundation@gmail.com. Thank you very much! We’re excited!
