There’s no single way to be part of Lambda Foundation. Whether you want to help govern and grow the Foundation, use your network and voice to open new doors, or share your story as a past award recipient, there’s a path here for you.

Join a Committee or the Board

Nous sommes ravi·e·s d’accueillir de nouveaux bénévoles pour soutenir la croissance de notre organisme. En tant que bénévole, vous aurez l’occasion de contribuer à différents comités, voire d’en diriger. Les comités peuvent inclure :

• Fundraising Committee
• Marketing & Communications Committee
• Finance Committee

Nous recherchons particulièrement des personnes ayant une expérience en leadership dans les domaines suivants :

• Communications et marketing numériques
• Gestion financière et investissements
• Community engagement & advocacy
• Gouvernance d’organismes de bienfaisance
• Développement et gestion de bourses et subventions
• Planification et coordination d’événements ou de projets

À quoi s’attendre

Volunteers will receive training and onboarding to help them succeed in their roles. We ask for a commitment to attend one monthly or bimonthly committee meeting, and to contribute additional hours to work on assigned tasks between meetings. The estimated time commitment is approximately 6–8 hours per month.

La maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (oral et écrit) est un atout, particulièrement pour lnos communications numériques. Toutefois, ce n’est pas une exigence. Nous encourageons les candidatures provenant de partout au Canada.

Become a Lambda Foundation Ambassador

Do you have a strong network in your community or industry, and want to help Lambda grow? We’re looking for Ambassadors — individuals with the reach and relationships to open new doors for Lambda’s mission.

This role suits community leaders, professionals with strong networks, and past board members looking to stay involved without returning to a governance role.

• Act as a visible representative of Lambda at community or industry events.
• Facilitate introductions to potential corporate sponsors, community partners, or donors.
• Host or co-host one fundraising or “friend-raising” event per year.
• Share Lambda news and impact stories through your professional and social networks.
• No voting rights or fiduciary responsibilities — this is a high-impact, low-admin role built around influence and advocacy, not committee work.

Join the Lambda Foundation Alumni Network

Are you a past Lambda Foundation award or scholarship recipient? We invite you to stay connected with Lambda Foundation through the Alumni Network.

Joining the Alumni Network is high impact, low admin — a flexible way to help inspire the next generation of 2SLGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC scholars, without joining a committee or taking on governance responsibilities.

À quoi s’attendre

• Attend 2–3 virtual events per year to share your experience as a Lambda Foundation recipient — what the award meant to you, and how it’s shaped your path.
• Share Lambda Foundation updates, scholarship calls, and impact stories through your own social media, whenever it feels natural to you.
• Occasionally provide a short written testimonial or quote for our Annual Report.
• No fundraising ask, no meetings, no minimum hours — just your story, on your own time.
