On May 17, the world will mark International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) — a global moment to stand in solidarity with 2SLGBTQI communities and spotlight the urgent need to confront hate and discrimination.

This year, the call to action is more pressing than ever. Around the world, including Canada, we are seeing a continued rise in anti-2SLGBTQI hate, driven by mis-, dis-, and malinformation, coordinated efforts to roll back rights, and trans and queer communities becoming greater targets to harmful policies and rhetoric.
