What’s Happening at Lambda? Strategic Plan Update, New Board Members, and Annual Report Available
The past three months, from September to October, have seen significant developments at Lambda.
In September, we completed the first draft of our five-year strategic plan and prepared for a weekend-long in-person workshop, during which the Board met to review and finalize the plan.
Our Annual General Meeting took place on September 29. During this meeting, we presented the 2023-2024 Annual Report, which is now available on our website for your review.
The following weekend, from October 5-6, the Board met in person in Ottawa for the first time.
We were also joined by our Strategic Planning consultant team. Together, we reviewed the draft strategic plan and made key decisions to chart our future direction. The next steps involve a deeper assessment of what these choices mean structurally, leading to the plan’s anticipated adoption in our final Board meeting of the year in December.
These strategic choices promise to make an impact on how we operate and support Lambda Foundation’s evolution in expanding educational access for 2SLGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC communities. It’s an exciting time for our organization, as we work toward our (refined and updated) mission, vision, and values with renewed energy and focus.
At our Board meeting in October, we were thrilled to welcome three new members.
El Chenier joins as Vice President (succeeding Sara Bannerman), Kathleen Mulawka steps in as Secretary, and Andreea Trif joins us as a Director. Learn more about each of our new Board members on our website.
Until next time,
Darren Stehle
