The Bill 7 Award: 2025 Award Cycle Now Open
At Lambda Foundation, we are proud to amplify the work of community partners who are advancing equity and access in education.
One such partner is the Bill 7 Award, a longstanding scholarship program supporting 2SLGBTQ+ students in Ontario.
Since its inception in 1987, the Bill 7 Award Trust has awarded over $275,000 in scholarships to students who identify as 2SLGBTQ+ and who are pursuing post-secondary education in Ontario. The award recognizes both financial need and community involvement and aims to reduce systemic barriers faced by queer and trans students in accessing education.
2025 Award Cycle Now Open
The Bill 7 Award offers $4,000 scholarships to eligible students. Applications for the 2025 cycle are now open and will be accepted until Saturday, August 2, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
- Identify as 2SLGBTQ+
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be enrolled or accepted into a post-secondary institution in Ontario (full-time studies)
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
